Nulloo Yumbah is committed to developing knowledge and awareness of the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and communities and applying this understanding to:

*Assisting students from these communities to achieve their potential in all mainstream award courses which leads to becoming graduates of high quality for professional career prospects;

*Promote students 'cultural pride and identity', at the same time as they participate successfully in the life of the University;

*Extend and disseminate the body of knowledge about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Research;

*Encourage the University and the wider community to become increasingly positive and affirmative of the identity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, supporting the process of reconciliation.
