The Boating Industry Association of Western Australia (BIAWA) is a non profit, incorporated industry group established in 1971 to benefit the boating industry, the consumer and the boating public.

Since its formation, the BIAWA has been proactive in developing the marine leisure sector in this state. This has involved a dual approach :

-encouraging more Western Australians to pursue the relaxed lifestyle that goes with owning a boat and enjoying the beautiful rivers and ocean

-helping to develop a credible, professional industry capable of providing world class products and services to meet the growing demand.

The success of this approach is shown by the fact the BIAWA represents over 150 businesses involved in every aspect of the marine industry, in Western Australia is one of the highest in Australia per capita.
