A Catholic secondary school. St Rita's was established as a kindergarten to senior school on the 27th September 1926 with an enrolment of 16 and a converted drawing room in Stanley Hall as a classroom.
Today, it is a secondary College with an enrolment of 780 students who enjoy the very best of modern facilities. Academically, St Rita's is a school of excellence.
However, a dominant characteristic is its spirit of friendliness. All students are encouraged to feel that they belong, that they have a place at the College. The older girls take a personal interest in their" "little sisters".
