The Friend’s school is a K-12 coeducational Quaker School founded in 1887 based on fundamental values such as the intrinsic worth of each person, the recognition of “that of God’ in everyone, the desirability of simplicity and the need to establish peace and justice. Friends' has a total enrolment of 1180, including a senior college catering for Years 11 and 12 on a separate campus.
As a learning community, we are concerned for the academic, cultural, physical, social and spiritual development of each person in our care.
Friends' has a strong academic record supported by a recognition of the need to provide pastoral care at all levels of the School. The School offers students the choice of the International Baccalaureate or the Tasmanian Certificate of Education at Years 11 and 12.
The Friends’ School offers a range of scholarships and bursaries to assist students meet the financial requirements of attendance at Friends’. The School also welcomes International Students.
