The Western Australian Turf Club (now operating as Perth Racing) has a proud history of hosting thoroughbred racing in the state for over 150 years and runs the two magnificent riverside racecourses of Ascot and Belmont Park, both situated minutes from the city of Perth.

Perth Racing is responsible for the popular Ascot Summer Racing Carnival and the Group II $350,000 BMW-Perth Cup, held on New Years Day. This race day has become known as ‘Perth’s biggest party’ and reached cult status as a social ritual to see in the New Year.
