Barunga is located 90 km southeast of Katherine on an all weather road. Barunga has clear radio and TV reception through the local repeater (BRACS). The are both elevated and ground level houses, mainly three bedrooms though there are some 1 and 2 bedroom houses

All houses have room airconditioners in the lounge and main bedroom and are supplied with basic furniture and whitegoods. All houses have phone connections, though high speed data lines are not available.
