Forbes High School, for years 7 - 12 with about 550 students, offers a wide range of subjects, including academic and vocational courses, for both the School Certificate and the Higher School Certificate.

The school is set in beautiful grounds on a large block of land at the north end of Forbes. The block also contains both a school oval and an agriculture plot. The school itself is surrounded by well-maintained gardens and lawns, and large numbers of trees have been planted over the years.
