Parramatta High School has an extensive curriculum and offers a wide range of elective subjects including Vocational Education and TAFE options for the Higher School Certificate. Established in 1913 as the first co-educational high school in the Sydney Metropolitan area, the school has, in its ninety-plus years, built a reputation for quality outcomes and developed traditions which create high expectations for each generation of students.

Previously a selective high school, we continue to have high expectations for academic success and in 2004; 40% of HSC students accepted positions in university courses, 26 students were placed on the merit list and a student was placed first in the state in Indonesian. These exceptional results for a comprehensive high school reflect the dedication and skill of our teachers, the determination of our students to do well and the tremendous support provided to each student by their families.
