Queen’s College is an academic residential community situated next to the University of Melbourne and consisting of students (both undergraduate and postgraduate), tutors, professionals and staff. Most students residing at Queen's College attend the University of Melbourne - others attend RMIT, the Victorian College of Pharmacy or the Victorian College of Arts.

The College is devoted to providing the best possible environment for students to pursue their studies at university. It offers them accommodation, support and encouragement in their academic work and intellec­tual, social and spiritual development.

By living in a large community and through the activities that take place at the College, residents develop strong career, social and practical skills which benefit them throughout their life.

Members are encouraged to develop as independent individuals and also as a community, accepting responsibility for their actions and their lives. At the same time they are also encouraged to contribute to the well-being of the College as a whole.
