Caritas Australia helps people help themselves - regardless of race, religion or political beliefs.

Caritas Australia belongs to one of the largest international aid and development networks in the world - Caritas Internationalis (www.caritas.org) - a network of 162 Catholic relief, development and social service organisations working to build a better world, in over 200 countries and territories.

Caritas Australia work to bring relief and aid to people whose lives have been devastated by natural disaster or conflict. Caritas Australia will work through the principles and practice of community development, supporting people to help themselves out of poverty, hunger and injustice.

Caritas Australia also supports programs in Indigenous Australia, as Indigenous communities are amongst the most marginalised within our country.
