SCHOOL OF ANIMAL STUDIES
Head of School: Professor W L Bryden
The School of Animal Studies is one of five Schools within the Faculty of Natural Resources, Agriculture and Veterinary Science. The School is primarily located on the Gatton Campus of the University of Queensland with staff also on the St Lucia Campus.
The programs offered by our School in the Animal and Wildlife Sciences will become important over the next decade as the world faces intense pressure from its growing population. As a graduate, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to the world in which we live. We need to ensure that we manage our resources in a responsible and sustainable manner as we produce and market clean safe food for the world’s expanding population while preserving the natural environment and the biodiversity of our wildlife.
Undergraduate and postgraduate programs on offer in the School are amongst the most sought after in Australia and are internationally recognised. You will find that our programs are flexible and offer opportunities for double major.
